Walking around Bridlington Harbour and spotted these blue bikes, painted in the Tour de Yorkshire colours.
Also, spotted more on the sea front so well done Brid it will provide a spectacular Grand Depart. In Beverley along North Bar I saw my first blue bike, hopefully more locals will dig out their old bikes, paint them blue, and put them out on the route especially on the Westwood to welcome the riders into Beverley it would look amazing for the TV cameras and really showcase Beverley as a visitor destination. Only 34 days to go so get painting!!

Great news on the entry of Sir Bradley Wiggins with his own team to the Tour de Yorkshire encouraging lesser known riders.
But Bradley please stop by to stock up on the famous Beverley buns to give you that winning edge! Welcome to the other sixteen teams , it's going to be a fantastic spectacular. Stop press........ Don't forget to find an old bike or wheels and get painting blue or yellow in the colours of the tour..... We need to show the World that East Yorkshire is giving a warm welcome to all our visitors. Keep pedalling ............. Repair2ride would like to bring to your attention a local firm offering cycling based holidays and events. They also hire out bike boxes for anyone wanting to take their pride and joy away this summer. For more information check out there website here |
Craig BoddiceI am the company founder and a very keen cyclist who has enjoyed cycling since the first day I sat on my first bike. What I love about cycling is the freedom and chance to go places under your own steam. Plus, it keeps you fit and helps to save money on fuel too! Archives
