Team members from Caremark completed the JOGLE challenge ride in ten hard days of riding, showing determination and true grit. Team members Graham Precious, Charles Folkes, Phil Mason, Joe Daly and Ravi Patel set off from John O'Groats in sunshine on the 8th September, enjoying the quiet roads the team made a good start. The scenery was even better the second day along Loch Ness, with no sign of the monster. Legs were aching, but with Rachel on board to massage tired legs at the end of the day they finished in Fort William. The weather changed and it was a tough ride to Paisley with a total climb of 5124 feet. Greta Green was the target on day four, no hasty weddings taking place when the weary team arrived. Day five and the weather changed for the worse and the team slogged on to Lancaster, being pleasantly surprised by Graham's family turning up to offer support and extra supplies of flapjack. By this point the team were half way to their target of Lands End. Day six saw the team heading down to Oswestry. Another wet day followed, and worse, as Charles had to sadly pull out injured. Arriving in Gloucester they were now heading down hill, all the way past the Cheddar gorge to Tiverton. They could smell the sea, heading from Tiverton to Newquay, and the sun was shining again. Final day, and a short canter to the finish line at Lands End, with Charles able to join the group, plus friends and supporters to celebrate this wonderful achievement. Thanks to Rob Munby, from PedalMoor for his help and support, and professional photos. A magnificent challenge completed and hopefully lots of cash raised for the Alzheimers Society. Well done lads, and not forgetting Rachel. To donate please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/caremarkjogle

Craig BoddiceI am the company founder and a very keen cyclist who has enjoyed cycling since the first day I sat on my first bike. What I love about cycling is the freedom and chance to go places under your own steam. Plus, it keeps you fit and helps to save money on fuel too! Archives
