Its been another busy few weeks, broken up by 10 relaxing days holiday in Turkey. Several wheels have been built and lots of bikes have been serviced ready for the summer months. One of the most interesting and unusual jobs involved a Pace Rc300 bike, which had a 2" crack in the headtube. Having researched the fault and found that other owners had had their bikes repaired I call pace cycles at dalby and they gave me the number of a company in derby that can repair the frames. Having called Spondon engineering who were very friendly I agreed to drop the bike off and the customer would collect it the next day. All went well and i received the bike back welded up. They did a great job on it, all that was left was to put the headset back in, rebleed the brakes, fit the new forks and fit the new front brake. See pictures below. Another unusual job was the fitting of a wee ride child seat to a tandem. This required some customization to make it fit, but meant one happy customer.

Craig BoddiceI am the company founder and a very keen cyclist who has enjoyed cycling since the first day I sat on my first bike. What I love about cycling is the freedom and chance to go places under your own steam. Plus, it keeps you fit and helps to save money on fuel too! Archives
