Today the weather has been mostly great, the odd shower being the exception, not the rule thankfully.
As a result repair2ride has been out servicing, fitting new tyres and innertubes to a variety of bikes from hessle to sutton to melton. First up was a Trek Madone 4.5 Carbon framed road bike which has been serviced and is ready to ride.
Next up was a family with three bikes which needed adjusting and checking before being safe to ride. Also, a new tyre was required as the old one had perished.
This dutch bikes owner had been suffering regular punctures and most recently had suffered a blow out which resulted in her needing a new tyre and innertube. The cause of the punctures was due to an ill fitted rim tape. This has now been sorted and a slime anti-puncture tape was also installed too as the bike is used regularly to commute to work.
Over in Sutton, repair2ride fitted a new innertube and slime anti-puncture tape at another customers house. Again he'd been suffering lots of punctures recently on his ride to work. Then it was over to Melton to pick a mountain bike for a customer who wants to have new hydraulic disc brakes fitting that he'd purchased off the internet. Also, the hydraulic hoses need swapping over as the brakes are set up for european style eg the opposite to the UK.

Craig BoddiceI am the company founder and a very keen cyclist who has enjoyed cycling since the first day I sat on my first bike. What I love about cycling is the freedom and chance to go places under your own steam. Plus, it keeps you fit and helps to save money on fuel too! Archives
