Yesterday, Sunday 10th March I took part in round one of the Nutcracker XC series held at Dalby Forest. It was bittingly cold and muddy, but very enjoyable. I came a creditable 15th in the Masters catergory, completing the 5 laps (I'd been told it would be 4 laps so was shocked when the race starter told us it was in fact 5 laps!) in 1hr 49mins. If any of you fancy taking part in future rounds of the series visit www.nutcrackermtb.co.uk for further details of the upcoming rounds See below for photos of the event, that were kindly taken by my Dad. The stand my bike is sat on came from the nice chap who runs Od Designs, who was at the race to promote the OdPod. It is perfect for holding your bike pre-ride, for those last minute gear adjustments & for whilst you wash your bike post ride. It folds up flat and doesn't weigh much so perfect to pop in the boot or use in your garage for at home adjustments.
Price £34.95 inc p&p Check out their website for more details. www.od-designs.co.uk

Craig BoddiceI am the company founder and a very keen cyclist who has enjoyed cycling since the first day I sat on my first bike. What I love about cycling is the freedom and chance to go places under your own steam. Plus, it keeps you fit and helps to save money on fuel too! Archives
