May 17th saw eight intrepid York pedallers set off from outside York Minster for a steady tour of the Wolds before boarding the Hull ferry for our overnight sailing. Our second day was to Brugge, where we spent a pleasant day exploring this delightful city. Next up was a ride to Roubaix, a ride around the Velodrome with a visit to the tour of Flanders museum, on the way to St Quentin. A visit to Craig's friend Andreas who builds custom made bike frames was enjoyed by all. A ninety mile ride in sunny conditions to Creil. Our final day saw us making our way into Paris via the Chantilly forest on our last day for champagne and celebrations under the Eiffel Tower. 370 miles achieved and celebrated by all members of the York pedallers cycle group. many thanks to Phil Haskins from Wolds events for his excellent organisation, and steady hand at the wheel. Craig BoddiceI am the company founder and a very keen cyclist who has enjoyed cycling since the first day I sat on my first bike. What I love about cycling is the freedom and chance to go places under your own steam. Plus, it keeps you fit and helps to save money on fuel too! Archives
